​We have several confirmed sitings of Cardboard Oblivion in pursuit of the Steam Punk Sexicopter.

Cardboard has employed one of its largest vessels with a team no less belligerent than we’ve seen during prior encounters. Despite the state of the ramshackle airship, held together now with what appears to be painters tape, helium balloons, and chewing gum, the mob moves with a kind of irresistible gravity. Their growing numbers have been the downfall of the well-organized, remarkably fit and objectively beddable star pirates. Their aircraft, an aesthetic, bi-winged design, clearly inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery, is the last of their fleet. Their beautiful, authoritative team moves with resolve and purpose in front of the stumbling band of party animals. While sorely outnumbered, they are still drawing the affection of passersby with sexy dance moves and glittering regalia.

These two factions of the sky rebellion have been fighting now for generations. Often, minor conflicts end in orgiastic dance parties, but this particular parade of bohemian insurrection has lasted longer than any before.

The drunken ne’er-do-wells of Cardboard continue to gain power as they march through a city that embraces them. They have amassed a haphazard army of charming vagabonds who repurpose materials (not for environmental reasons, but because none are sober enough to drive to the hardware store) to build their combat vehicles. Their creativity is surprising, their reverie, infectious.

The pirates - true warriors of the sky - righteous and idealistic, provide a stark contrast, but are no less problematic. Their well-built ship is small and impressive. Their performative swagger draws crowds from far and wide.

We are closing in on this slow-going blunder promenade through collapsing buildings and cheering tourists. Luckily for us, the fighting between these two factions will be their undoing. The only possibility for failure is if somehow, the two camps decide to join forces…
